Disruption to Red Line Luas service this weekend

Padraig Conlon 14 Aug 2020

Red Line Luas passengers will have to deal with a disruption to the service this weekend.

Tomorrow and Sunday (16th) the six stops between Blackhorse and Heuston will be closed due to works on the line.

Services will not operate between Blackhorse and Heuston, and there will be no trams running to the Connolly Luas stop.

Service will only be available between Tallaght/Saggart and Blackhorse and then between Heuston and The Point.

Transdev said in a statement: “There will be no Red Line tram service between Blackhorse and Heuston stops on Sat 15th Aug and Sun 16th Aug. During this closure, trams will run between Tallaght / Saggart and Blackhorse and between Heuston and The Point only.

“Trams will not run to Connolly Luas stop for the duration of the works so customers must use Busáras Luas stop to access Connolly Train Station, a 3 min. walk away.

“A replacement bus service will run in both directions in the affected area every 15 minutes on Saturday and Sunday with some restrictions. A valid Luas ticket is required to use the replacement bus service.”
