TR Motors appoints director of parts division

ALAN O’Brien has been appointed Director of TR Motors Parts Division, one of the most successful Mercedes-Benz parts suppliers in Dublin.

Having worked in the parts division of Mercedes-Benz for almost 20 years, Alan will focus on building up the current service to the motor servicing industry, the panel beating companies as well as individual car owners.

Alan said that he was honoured to be appointed as director of a company that has been synonymous with quality service and maintenance of Mercedes- Benz cars over 50 years.

TR Motors are currently supplying almost 500,000 Mercedes-Benz spare parts to the majority of motor service and repair businesses in the city and in the Greater Dublin area. They range from replacement bulbs up to and including new engines and the parts business is growing with more owners holding on the their cars longer than before.

Over the years, Alan has noticed a change in the fads and demands for certain equipment with an increase in technology and in-car entertainment topping the list at present,

“When I started in the business, car owners were looking for the fancy stripes, spot lights and spoilers. There is little demand for these parts and we now have the car owners investing in sophisticated sound systems that facilitate iPhone and iPod players. They also want DVD players to entertain their children in the back seats.
