JOHN Timmons, from Swords, and Jill McStay, from Malahide, successfully completing the HeadsUp Five Peaks Challenge which involved climbing the five highest mountains in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales to raise money for HeadsUp, Rehab’s youth suicide prevention project.

The Northside duo who were among a team of 16 people took part in the challenge earlier this month.

John Timmons said:

“For me, choosing the Five Peaks Challenge for HeadsUp was the easy bit.

“The challenge we faced, while physically and mentally tough, is nothing compared to the challenges faced by people who suffer with depression/mental issues every day.

“The organisation and logistics involved was handled brilliantly and the guides were consummate professionals.

Mr Timmons thanked all those who took part.

“I would highly recommend doing one of these challenges to anyone,

? he added.
