Journalist and activist Joanne O’Riordan has partnered with RedClick and the Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) as they host the annual Run‘n’Roll race on September 14 at St. Anne’s Park, Raheny.

Whether running, walking, pushing a buggy, or using a wheelchair, the event is designed to include everyone, and aims to promote a more inclusive society for people with disabilities.

Joanne O’Riordan commented, “I cannot wait to see another year of the Run ‘n’ Roll race in St. Anne’s Park.

“It was great to have so many people turn out at last year’s race, supporting inclusivity for those with disabilities.

I’m very proud to be involved in such a positive and inclusive event with a fun, heartwarming atmosphere.

The Run ‘n Roll race has been such a great day over the years, and I hope as many people as possible can make it down to St. Anne’s Park on September 14th. “

The Run ‘n’ Roll event is another milestone in RedClick’s close relationship with IWA and their commitment to promoting the inclusivity of people with disabilities.

The event is more than just a race – it’s a family day out with face painting, a pre-race warm-up, post-race refreshments, and entertainment at the finish line.

Every participant will receive a bespoke finisher’s medal, and those aged 16+ will also get a technical race t-shirt.

 Shauna Morgan, 28, attends IWA’s Community Centre in Clontard and looks forward to Run ‘n’Roll each year, she says;

“I love being part of IWA. I’ve made so many friends here, we’ve gone on holidays together and enjoyed great days out. Without IWA, I wouldn’t have had those opportunities. I’m encouraged to keep learning, try new things, and that’s really helped my confidence and independence to grow.”

 Funds from Run’n’Roll go towards supporting people like Shauna live the life they choose in their communities and beyond.

 Lorenzo Ioan, RedClick’s General Manager commented, We are incredibly proud of our partnership with IWA, and for this initiative to support inclusivity for those with disabilities.

“As part of our wider commitment to promote greater equity, diversity and inclusion within society, the Run ‘n’ Roll race continues to provide a wonderful opportunity for us to create a fun day out for families, friends and customers”.
