It was a wonderful weekend for Rhasidat Adekele who smashed the Irish 200m record with a 22.59 second performance.

The 19 year old double U20 European 100/200m champion was representing Texas University at the Texas A&M vs Texas Dual Meet on Saturday night.

The performance, which would ultimately see Adeleke finish in second place, also secured the World and European Championships qualification standards.
