Irish Water has said that it is continuing with efforts to drive down leakage in south Dublin and is carrying out works in the Cushlawn Park area of Tallaght to fix and improve the security of supply for the local community.

In a statement, Irish Water said: “To reduce the impact on customers, works will be carried out during night time hours when water usage is at a minimum and are scheduled to take place from 11pm on Thursday, 2 December until 6am on Friday, 3 December.

“During these hours, and to facility the safe delivery of the works, customers in the Cushlawn Park area will experience a disruption to their supply to include low pressure and/or outages.

“As these works are being undertaken off-road, there will be no major traffic management involved.”

Speaking about the works, Matthew Thomson, Irish Water said: “We understand that this type of work can be inconvenient and working in partnership with South Dublin City Council we are making every effort to minimise any disruption that these necessary works may cause.

“The delivery of these essential works will provide a safer and more sustainable water supply in this area.”
