A DUBLIN punter received an eye-catching boost to their finances after two horses upset the odds on Wednesday afternoon at Punchestown.

The anonymous customer struck the ambitious wager in their local BoyleSports shop and confidently put down a €25 each-way double on two horses to land the spoils at the County Kildare racetrack.

So Near So Farhh landed the 2.15 race at odds of 11/1 and was quickly followed into the winners’ enclosure by Scalino in the 2.45. The punter had picked out Scalino at 14/1 but he went off at 20/1 and a best odds guarantee meant the customer benefited from the drift.

The quickfire double allowed the Dubliner to call back up to the counter and exchange their betslip for a stunning amount of €5,804, won in the space of thirty minutes.

Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Fair play to our Dublin customer for taking such a bold punt and winning €5,804 in a flash. We hope the winnings come in handy!”
