Cash and fireworks seized in Tallaght

Gardaí have seized €88,000 in cash and fireworks following a search of a house in Dublin.

As part of the investigation into the seizure of €130,000 of suspected cannabis herb and cash in Castlemartyr, Co Cork on October 27, 2020, Gardaí from Tallaght executed a search warrant at a house in the area at around 8.30pm on October 28.

During the course of the search gardaí seized €88,000 of cash and a quantity of fireworks.

Two men who were arrested in Castlemartyr, Co Cork remain in Garda custody.

Superintendent Michael Comyns said: “Whilst gardaí continue to police the level 5 restrictions regarding covid-19, it is important to assure the public that we are still active in investigating serious crime.”
