Man dies following two vehicle collision in Lucan

A man has died after a two-vehicle collision in Lucan yesterday.

The incident involving a motorbike and a car happened at approximately 8.25pm on the R136 in Lucan.

The motorcyclist, a man in 20s, was taken to Connolly Memorial Hospital where he later passed away from his injuries.

An examination of the scene by Forensic Collision Investigators has since concluded.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

They are particularly appealing to anyone who was travelling on the road at the time who may have camera footage.
