Two men arrested and drugs and money seized following searches in Tallaght

As part of Operation Tara, Gardaí have arrested two men, seized €108,687 worth of drugs and €69,930 in cash following searches in the Tallaght area yesterday.

At approximately 3:40pm yesterday afternoon, Gardaí conducted a search of a residential property in Brookview Drive, Tallaght and discovered €69,930 in cash.

In a follow up search at a residence in New Seskin Court, shortly before 8:30pm yesterday evening, Gardaí seized €81,662 worth of cocaine and €27,025 worth of MDMA. All drugs will now be sent for analysis.

A Garda spokesperson said:

“Two men, one aged in his 20s and the other in his 30s were arrested as a result.

“The man in his 30s has since been charged and is due to appear before Tallaght District Court at 10:30am this morning, Wednesday 15 September 2021.

“The man in his 20s has since been released without charge with a file now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.”
