Two men arrested after drugs and gun seized by Gardaí

Gardaí have seized a firearm and a quantity of controlled drugs following a search of a property in the Corduff area, Blanchardstown, on Wednesday.

As part of ongoing investigations targeting the activities of organised criminal groups, members attached to the Serious Crime Unit in Blanchardstown executed a search warrant at a residence in the Corduff area of Blanchardstown.

During the course of the search, Gardaí seized a semi-automatic firearm, approximately €3,198 of suspected cocaine and €18,650 of suspected Diamorphine. Cash to the value of €1,150 was also recovered.

Two men (aged in their 20s and 30s) were arrested and are currently detained at a Garda station in the Blanchardstown area under the provisions of Section 30, Offences Against the State Act 1939/98.
