A small shop located at the heart of a residential community in Drumcondra has been revealed as the selling location for last Wednesday’s Lotto jackpot winning ticket worth an astonishing €3,612,485.

The Extramart Store on Home Farm Road sold the winning Quick Pick ticket on Tuesday, May 24.

Speaking last Friday, Sophie Javaid, who has owned the store with her husband Mian for 11 years, was delighted to hear the good news.

“Being situated in the middle of a close-knit community, it’s lovely to think that one of our local customers will be celebrating a big win this week,” she said.

“People coming into the store today are shocked that we’ve sold the winning ticket but there is a huge sense of joy that somebody local might be the winner!

“It is a life-changing amount so we’re hoping the lucky winner checks their ticket soon to realise they are the winner!”

The Dublin jackpot winner, who is yet to come forward to claim their €3,612,485 prize, is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe.

The winner should contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their life-changing prize.

Last Wednesday night’s €3.6 million jackpot winner has become the fifth Lotto jackpot winner of 2022 following wins by players in Mayo, Meath, Dublin and Kilkenny.

The Dublin player has also taken the title of 19th National Lottery millionaire of the year.
