Fianna Fail TD Paul McAuliffe has today welcomed news that a mobile testing centre will be set up and operational in Dublin North West from Friday November 6.

Speaking following the announcement, Dublin North West TD McAuliffe said:

“Earlier last month, I raised the need for a mobile testing centre in Dublin North West due to the high case incident rates of covid19.

“Several constituents had contacted me regarding difficulties getting to the testing centre in Swords.

“I raised the issue at the Covid Committee with the acting CMO and CEO of the HSE,”

“The HSE have advised that CHO DNCC will establish a pop-up centre in Poppintree Sports Centre on Friday 6th November 2020.

“The service will initially operate from 11am – 6pm and the daily figures will be kept under review and the service scaled up if required.

“I hope easier access to a test centre will lead to a reduction in the covid19 rate in the Dublin 9 and 11 area” concluded Deputy McAuliffe.
