Council appoints new Director of Services

Fingal County Council has announced the appointment of a new member to its Executive Management Team.

Mary Egan has been appointed as Director of Services and has been given responsibility for the Department of People, Corporate and Digital Services where she replaces Emer O’Gorman who was recently appointed as Chief Executive of Wicklow County Council.

Announcing the appointment, the Chief Executive of Fingal County Council, AnnMarie Farrelly, said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Mary Egan as a Director of Service.

“She is a highly experienced individual and I look forward to working with her to make Fingal the best place to live, work, visit and do business in.”

Mary Egan has been the Senior Executive Officer with responsibility for housing delivery in Fingal since 2015. 

She has many years of local government experience in various roles with Dublin County Council, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and Fingal County Council. 

She has worked in a wide range of departments and areas including Housing, Operations, HR, Corporate Services and Finance.

She took up her new post from yesterday, March 13.
