Brand new Baldoyle Lidl store to re-open next month

Padraig Conlon 25 Nov 2021

After much anticipation, Lidl Ireland is announcing the re-opening of its refurbished store in Baldoyle, on Thursday December 2, just in time for the Christmas shopping period.

The Lidl store has undergone an extensive modernisation and will create 7 new jobs, as well as bringing an investment of more than €4 million to the local community.

The refurbished store is part of a wider multi-million-euro investment in the capital that sees the retailer create 100 jobs across three store openings before the end of the year including Baldoyle, Lusk and Talbot Street.

As Lidl is Ireland’s leading supporter of female participation in sport through its partnership with the Ladies Gaelic Football Association, it is only fitting that Carla Rowe of the Dublin LGFA club will do the honours of officially opening the store on the morning of Thursday December 2.

When doors re-open, customers will be able to shop Lidl’s renowned range of top-quality products at the best prices in the new 1,027 metre squared shop floor, featuring a spacious interior layout, high ceilings, and wide aisles, ensuring a comfortable shopping experience for their customers.

In addition to an improved shop floor and layout, the new state-of-the-art design will showcase a number of sustainable features such as energy efficient heating pumps and LED lighting.

Commenting on the opening of Lidl Baldoyle Store Manager, Roisín Grogan said:

“We are delighted to finally re-open our doors and welcome back our loyal customers in the Baldoyle area.

“The brand-new, state-of-the-art design of our store provides our customers with an enhanced shopping experience featuring wide aisles, a larger selection of our award-winning products and of course the best value on the market.

“We look forward to welcoming shoppers to our new store in the coming days and weeks.”

Advancing Lidl Ireland’s community-focused objectives under its ‘A Better Tomorrow’ corporate social responsibility programme, and to mark the new store opening, the team at Lidl Baldoyle have chosen to donate €1,000 in Lidl vouchers to St. Michael’s House Special National School.

This organisation does vital work to create a caring, supportive environment for the children of St. Michael’s House.
