Legendary Dubs fan Tony Broughan passes away

Tributes have been paid following the death of one of Dublin’s best known and loved GAA supporters.

Tony Broughan, known to Dubs fans as Molly Malone, loyally followed the Boys in Blue all over the country for the past 80 years.

Since 1975 he had been attending matches in his iconic costume and wig and was a firm favourite with fans.

The Cabra native was often stopped for photos with supporters of all counties and he will be sadly missed when fans eventually return to support the Dubs in Croke Park.
