Fingal County Council to close all playgrounds from tomorrow

Playgrounds operated by Fingal County Council will be closed from tomorrow in line with Government requirements to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Park rangers will move in tomorrow morning to close playgrounds in the regional parks before moving on to those located in neighbourhood areas.

The decision to close the playgrounds has been taken following advice from the public health authorities to avoid situations where children will interact with others. It is hoped that this action will assist in further limiting the spread of the virus.

The playgrounds will remain closed until March 29.
