Peugeot packs a punch with new Boxer

Dublin People 07 Sep 2014

A MAJOR player in the commercial vehicle market in Europe, with a model to suit small and large business needs, Peugeot is continuing the renewal of its entire car and van line-up with the launch of the new Boxer van.

The new Peugeot Boxer has been designed to suit the needs of business users, who have high demands in terms of quality, running costs and efficiency.

Tested under extreme conditions over more than four million kilometres, the robustness and durability of the new Peugeot Boxer is clear.

A selected finalist for the International Van of the Year award, it has just gone on sale in Ireland, retailing from e22,000 plus dealer delivery charges, or from

?¬17,924 ex-VAT.

With five payloads available in Ireland and two different heights, the new Boxer is designed to swallow goods in a cavernous cargo area.

Boasting a resolutely modern design and a number of innovative new options, it features a strengthened body structure for greater rigidity, new mechanisms for the sliding side doors and strengthened rear doors, larger brakes, a new design for suspension damper brackets and a range of 2.2-litre HDi engines with a new injection system.

A commercial vehicle must be practical and sturdy, but must also contribute towards the image of a business.

The resolutely modern, wide grille is inspired by the new Peugeot 308, European Car of the Year and now includes daytime running lamps as standard.

New imposing bumpers provide maximum protection and house optional polycarbonate front fog lamps. Two rectangular recesses above serve as steps to facilitate cleaning the windscreen.

Within the functional and comfortable interior, the dashboard houses a new control panel with Bluetooth hands-free telephone operation and a USB port as standard.

A new black cloth trim punctuated with red and grey is adopted for the seats. Various storage areas are offered, as well as a document holder and writing table built into the folding backrest of the central seat.
