A HOST of celebrities took part in an Abseil Challenge in Croke Park last week for the Southside-based LauraLynn charity.

TV3 presenters Alan Hughes and Lisa Fitzpatrick joined Martin King, Glenda Gilson, Alan Hughes and Elaine Crowley as they abseiled from the Ethiad Skyline in Croke Park, dressed as Superheroes, in celebration of Children’s Hospice Week and Ireland’s only Children’s Hospice, LauraLynn.

It was all in aid of Children’s Hospice Week that focuses on the incredible little heroes, the seriously ill children and their families, cared for by LauraLynn.

LauraLynn on the Leopardstown Road in Dublin 18 is a hospice for children with life-limiting conditions and residential care centre for young adults with disabilities.

They employ approximately 80 staff within teaching, fundraising and care provision departments.

The holistic approach enables them to support the whole family, allowing parents to be

‘Mum and Dad’ rather than full-time carers.
