CHAMP: Robyn Byrne is a the Winmau World Masters Youth Champion

A TEENAGER from Dublin 15 has become Ireland’s first World Masters champion in Darts.

Blanchardstown local, Robyn Byrne, was presented with the Winmau World Masters Youth Champion trophy after winning the tournament final in Hull on Saturday, October 11.

The 17-year-old won through her qualifiers the previous Thursday and was in top form when she faced her Yorkshire opponent in the final that was played out in front of a live TV audience.

“It’s the first time Ireland have had a World Masters champion, and all involved in the Irish National Darts Organisation {INDO} are delighted with her performances,

? said team manager, Ollie Monaghan.

Earlier this year Robyn won a Europe Cups doubles title with partner Leah Fox and in July she picked up Europe Cup singles title in Vienna!

“That’s a doubles European title, a singles European crown and a world title, all in the space of four months,

? added Ollie.
