Join ‘Marathon Man’ Denzil on his Leinster Challenge

DENZIL Jacobs, pictured here with Irish Autism patron Keith Duffy at the announcement of Denzil’s 12 in 12 challenge, is to run 12 marathons in 12 days in each of the 12 Leinster counties.

From August 19 – 30

‘marathon man’ Denzil will be looking for you to join him each day whether it’s to run, jog or walk.

Denzil will do Dublin on Thursday 28 in the Lucan Leisure Centre in Griffeen Valley Park so join him for a full, half or even do the quarter marathon on your lunch break.

Registration is from 9am and the full marathon starts at 10.30 along the banks of the Grand Canal.

Denzil wants to raise a minimum of e25,000 for Irish Autism Action and the Saplings School for Children with Autism in Graiguecullen, Carlow, where he works as an occupational therapist.

Keith Duffy, patron of Irish Autism Ireland, who is an enthusiastic fitness person himself, hopes to join Denzil in the final race of the 12 in 12 Challenge in Denzil’s home town of Tullamore, Co Offaly.
