Design Corner’s Christmas Shop opens in Dun Laoghaire

THE Design Corner’s Christmas Shop is now open in Dun Laoghaire, offering customers a shopping experience with a difference.

Eagerly awaited by supporters and customers, The Design Corner’s third Christmas Shop was launched last Saturday (November 23).

Christmas shoppers will be impressed, inspired, and amazed by the new collections and seasonal designs created by 18 talented local designers from Dun Laoghaire Rathdown.

Apart from the beautiful selection of Irish created goods on sale what sets The Design Corner apart is that the shop is manned by the designers themselves.

This enriches and creates a special shopping experience as you have the chance to meet the designers, find out the inspiration behind the work and how particular pieces were made.

The Design Corner Christmas Shop is open from 10am to 6pm, Mondays to Saturdays and from 11am to 6pm on Sundays, until December 24.

On Christmas Eve it is open from 10am to 2pm at 67, Upper George’s Street (opposite the main entrance to the People’s Park) in Dun Laoghaire.

The talented designers taking part in The Design Corner Christmas shop are the cream of the county, having successfully completed a competitive process to take part.

Like an Aladdin’s Cave of treasures, this Christmas shopping experience provides the solution to any gift dilemma while supporting local businesses.

The Design Corner was first established in 2011 as a network for craft designers in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County. This will be the sixth pop up shop that has been creating sales opportunities for emerging, innovative producers of quality local craft and design products in the county.

The Design Corner Network and projects are organised by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Enterprise Board as part of their ongoing initiatives to support local businesses.
