Local company scoops landscaping award

A MALAHIDE-BASED company has won a major landscaping award.

Peter O’Brien & Sons (Landscaping) Ltd took first prize in the Commercial Development Category at the annual Association of Landscape Contractors of Ireland (ALCI) Landscape Awards.

The awards, known as the Oscars of the landscaping industry, pay tribute to ALCI members from both Northern and Southern regions who demonstrate exceptionally high standards of professionalism and skill in the execution of a wide variety of landscape projects.

Peter O’Brien & Sons (Landscaping) Ltd won first prize for their work on the new Mater Hospital.

On the project they installed elaborate gardens to the roofs at various levels throughout the new building, with the main one being on the second floor level and overlooking the North Circular Road. The company also installed all the paving to the front of the new hospital.
