WHITESNAKE’S
Doug Aldrich and Brian Tichy took part in a special one-off show at the XMusic
Shop at the Red Cow Retail Centre recently.

Impressed fans
gathered for the workshop-come-gig event which saw the players showcase their instruments
of choice and blast through a stellar set of rock anthems.

Doug, as a
Marshall representative, gave the audience a run-through of JMD:1 amp and
Brian’s powerhouse performance left every drummer in the audience hoping Santa
could fit a Natal Traditional Custom Drum Kit in his sack.

Lisa Kane,
marketing manager of XMusic, said:

“We try to have as many guest artists
perform in the store as possible but this is a real coup for us to have the
guitarist and drummer from Whitesnake.

“KMI
Distribution, the Marshall & Natal distributor in Ireland, offered us this
opportunity in October as Doug and Brian are endorsees of those brands, and we
were delighted to be able to put on this amazing show for our customers.

In upbeat form
despite a hectic year of touring, Doug and Brian chatted casually from the
stage enthusiastically espousing the virtues of the gear and on several
occasions stating how impressed they were with the Xmusic Store itself.

They were then
joined by Marshall multi-instrumentalist Chris George on bass for a
roof-raising jam that included Hendrix’s

‘Voodoo Chile’, Stevie Wonder’s

‘Superstition’ and The Who’s

‘My Generation’.

The trio closed
the night with a blistering version of Thin Lizzy’s

‘Jailbreak’ and a promise
that Whitesnake will be back to these shores soon.
