WEST Dublin Access Radio is putting on a Christmas
Show on the last day of broadcast before their break on Friday, December 23
from 12pm – 4pm.

The show will feature local bands and artists coming
in to chat and play some live music.

Also there will be music played from a selection of
other artists.

Keith McLoughlin, who is one of the presenters, is really
looking forward to the show.

“The station has been successful at showcasing new
emerging talent,

? he said.

“Programmes like the Session Suite with Frank Phelan
on Tuesdays from 2.30pm – 3.30pm and During the Week with me on Wednesdays from
4pm – 5pm give artists the chance to come on air to chat and play live music.

There is also an opportunity for unsigned artists to
get their music played on the Unsigned Music Chart Show on Thursdays from 4pm –
5pm.

The show picks 10 artists each week for the public to
vote on with the top five in the chart getting a spin each week.

“It’s great because it’s up to the fans of artists to
vote for their favourite acts to keep them in the chart for as long as
possible,

? Keith added.

“Some acts may only get one week in the chart while
others may get a few weeks. The show plays music from other artists to watch
out for too. Trevor Halpin of Music Review Unsigned runs the programme and is
the person to contact should artists be looking for airplay on the show.

Keith got involved with Music Review Unsigned back in
the summer when he was asked to co-host the show. It all came about when the
station along with RAPID organised Ballyfermot Rocks in August. Keith and
Trevor teamed up to organise acts for the event which saw 30 artists play over
one day in the Ballyfermot Road Park beside the Civic Centre on the Ballyfermot
Road.
