BIG-hearted
Liverpool legend, Phil Thompson, delighted Southside fans of the club when he
dashed to be by the bedside of a gravely ill fan in a local hospital.

The Sky Sports
pundit took time out of his busy schedule to visit lifelong Reds fan Edward
Gaffney (37) who is in the intensive care unit at St James’s Hospital after
suffering a stroke.

Phil consoled
Edward’s wife Lee and daughter Lisa during his visit to the hospital.

He was in Dublin
as guest of honour of the

‘You’ll Never Walk Alone Irish Reds’ supporters’
club, which is based in Crumlin.

Edward’s wife
Lisa, from Lucan, said:

“It was so nice of Phil to come to the hospital and I
would like to thank the supporters’ club for arranging it.
