Rathdown School in Glenageary marked its 50th anniversary by opening its senior school to boys for the first time in its history.

Almost one third of first year students starting at the school this year will be male, following on from last year’s successful transition to co-education in its junior schools.

The school announced last year that it would be becoming co-educational, and would accept boys into the junior school from September 2022, and into the senior school from September this year.
