The final countdown is now underway for Together for Hospice, The National Hospice Movement’s, 36th annual Hospice Sunflower Days campaign, with the on-street collection taking place in South Dublin from Thursday, 11th June until Saturday, 13th June 2026 to raise funds for Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services, Harold’s Cross and Blackrock.

You can support Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services, Harold’s Cross and Blackrock by purchasing some of the fantastic sunflower merchandise that our volunteers will be selling in towns across the county.

You can show your support too by donating online via the website, www.sunflowerdays.ie

There is also still time for schools, preschools creches and Montessoris to get involved by hosting a Hospice Sunflower Fun Day during June with registration still open on the website.

Speaking about the upcoming Hospice Sunflower Days on-street collection, Miriam O’Callaghan, Hospice Sunflower Days Ambassador, said: “With just a few days to go until the on-street collections for this year’s 36th campaign, I would encourage everyone to help make a difference by purchasing some sunflower merchandise or by donating online via the website.

“All funds raised locally, stay local so your support really does impact your local palliative care services.”

Speaking about the upcoming Hospice Sunflower Days on-street collection, Mary Flanagan, CEO, Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services, Harold’s Cross and Blackrock, said: “With just a few days to go until our on-street collections, we are calling on the public to get behind this important event.

“Every year, we see continued generosity and that support makes a huge difference and a real impact to the people we care for and their families.”

Together for Hospice, The National Hospice Movement, represents 24 Hospice and specialist palliative homecare providers supporting patients and their families across Ireland.

“These services provide free-of-charge care and support to those living with a life-limiting illness, while also offering assistance to the patient’s family members.

“Hospices nationwide need to raise approximately €20 million each year to provide their patient centred care and as our population ages, demand for specialist hospice and palliative homecare services continues to grow.

“Fundraised income is used by local hospice services to fund new buildings, refurbishment of existing buildings, staff, extra comforts for patients and their families, and innovative patient care projects nationwide. Funds raised through Together for Hospice campaigns support some of the core services funded by the HSE.

“That is why fundraisers such as Hospice Sunflower Days are so important to hospices and homecare services throughout the country.”

You can support Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services, Harold’s Cross and Blackrock by donating to the on-street volunteers on Thursday, 11th June, Friday, 12th June and Saturday, 13th June 2026 or by donating online via the website, www.sunflowerdays.ie
