Pieta staff, supporters and members of the Ballyfermot community gathered at Pieta’s Ballyfermot centre last Thursday, April 20, to mark their continued commitment to providing free mental health services in the locality since its opening in 2011.

Speaking at the event, Stephanie Manahan, Pieta CEO, said: “We are so proud to reflect on the impact the centre has had on the people of Ballyfermot and the wider community over the past 12 years. It is a testament to the efforts of our fantastic clinical team, fundraising committees, and Pieta supporters across the county, that we can provide these lifesaving services.”

A plaque unveiled by broadcaster, Joe Duffy, at the event, highlighted the incredible work of Pieta therapists and supporters, who are dedicated to providing free professional therapeutic services to people suffering with mental health, self-harm or experiencing suicidal thoughts.

Pieta’s commitment to serving communities across the country is made possible by fundraising initiatives carried out by loyal supporters.

Money raised through these initiatives, such as Pieta’s annual Darkness Into Light, ensures that the Pieta can continue to help those in need of support services, so that we can strive for a feeling of hope for all.
