Lord Mayor of Dublin Caroline Conroy will host the Lord Mayor’s Charity Ball on Saturday, May 13 in The Round Room of the Mansion House to honour three charities.

The charities to benefit from the proceeds from the ball are the Children in Hospital, AsIAm, and The Capuchin Day Centre.

The evening, which is sponsored by The Round Room at the Mansion House, “will be one of fine food, music and fundraising in the beautiful and historic Round Room,” DCC says.

Lord Mayor of Dublin Caroline Conroy said: “This year, the three charities who will benefit from the Lord Mayor’s Ball are – Children in Hospital, who for many years have highlighted the rights and welfare of children in hospital and the need for a more child-centred approach in the provision of healthcare services for children.

“AsIAM is Ireland’s National Autism Charity provide Autistic people and the public a portal of information about Autism.

“They work to create a society in which every autistic person is empowered to reach their own personal potential and fully participate in society.

“The Capuchin Day Centre works to relieve the hardship endured by people who are homeless and marginalised people living in poverty.

“The Day Centre’s policy is to welcome and treat all people with dignity and respect. This is a great opportunity for me in my role as Lord Mayor to give back to these very worthy charities who carry out valuable work in our communities.”

Tickets for the ball are priced at €150 each, or €1500 for a table of ten, and they can be purchased from the Lord Mayor’s Office by emailing [email protected] or visiting www.dublincity.ie/payonline – go to ‘Other payments’ & choose the ‘Lord Mayor’s Charity Ball’
