Gardai seize €70,000 of cannabis and and arrest one man during Ballymun search

Gardaí have seized €70,000 worth of suspected cannabis and cocaine during a search operation at a residential property in Ballymun which took place yesterday.

In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: “At approximately 4.45p.m., Gardaí attached to Ballymun Garda station executed a search warrant at a residential property in Ballymun, Dublin 11.

“During the course of the search a small quantity of cannabis and a large quantity of cocaine was discovered with an estimated street value of €70,000.

“Gardaí also seized drug paraphernalia. The drugs will now be sent for analysis.

“During the course of the search one man (early 30s) was arrested at the scene and conveyed to Ballymun Garda station where he is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.”
