Gardaí arrest second man in connection to assault at Fairview Strand

Gardaí investigating an assault  which occurred at Fairview Strand, Dublin 3, on Monday, June 7 have arrested a second man, aged in his 20s.

He is currently at Clontarf Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

The man was arrested today and remains in Garda custody.

At 11:10pm on Monday, Gardaí received a report that a man had been assaulted by a number of individuals on Fairview Strand.

A male in his 60s was discovered unconscious and was taken to the Mater Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

A male in his 20s was arrested at the scene.
