Texaco Children’s Art Competition launches for 67th year

Gary Ibbotson 21 Jan 2021

Texaco Children’s Art Competition, the longest running art competition in the country, will return for the 67th time this year.

Established in 1955, the competition has been running ever since and this year is no different, despite the ongoing pandemic.

The closing date for this year’s competition is Wednesday, 24 March with the winners expected to be announced in April.

There are seven different categories in the competition, each of which is divided into age range.

Category A is for teenagers between 16 and 18 years of age while Category B is for students between 14 and 15 years of age and so on.

For data protection compliance purposes, each entrant is required to complete an application form that they submit with their art work.

Where artwork is submitted without an application form being fully completed, it will not progress to the preliminary judging stage of the competition.
