John Fennell from Kilrush, county Clare, has been announced as the winner with Christina Walker from Carlow finishing in 3rd place.

2020 marks the fifth year that the competition has been run by Energia, and to celebrate, the charity prize money has been doubled!

This year’s fantastic prizes are donations of €6,000, €4,000 and €2,000 respectively to the charity of choice of the first, second and third placed entries following the public vote.

Philip is donating his €4,000 to Children’s Health Foundation Temple Street.

John is donating his €6,000 to RNLI Kilrush and West Clare Cancer, while Christina is donating her €2,000 to The Irish Heart Foundation and Holy Angels Carlow.

This year, all six finalists also received a €500 gift voucher for the Energia Smart Home store, to help make their homes smarter and more energy efficient.

The nationwide competition searches for the best decorated home in Ireland during the festive season and will have raised over €36,000 for charities throughout Ireland in the last five years.

Geoff Codd Head of Marketing and Retail Development, Energia commented;
