Irish St Leger winner helps Dubliner to €16,832 bonanza

A PUNTER in County Dublin signed off the week in spectacular fashion with a winning run on the horses that delivered just short of €17,000.

The anonymous customer struck bets on four horses in a Dublin BoyleSports shop on Sunday and Tarnawa’s win at 15/2 in the 3.35 at Longchamp in Paris left three runners closer to home at the Curragh to deliver the goods.

The 4/1 pick Cayenne Pepper and Glass Slippers (9/2) both found the winners’ enclosure as attention turned to the Irish St. Leger. 7/1 shot Search For A Song was going for two in a row in the big race and saw off some well fancied favourites to land the spoils again and trigger the celebrations in Dublin.

A €7.50 each-way accumulator and a €2 lucky 15 on the four winners saw a stake of €30 transformed into a windfall totalling €16,832.
