Man due in court in relation to fatal assault of a man in Lucan

A man is set to appear in court this morning over the fatal assault of Juris Kokenbergs in Lucan.

Gardai were called to the scene at Old Bridge Park at around 8am on Bank Holiday Monday.

Mr Kokenbergs, aged 49, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí have charged a man, aged in his 30s, who was arrested in relation to the investigation into the fatal assault.

A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí have charged the man (aged in his 30s) who was arrested in relation to the investigation into the fatal assault of a man in Lucan.

“He is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court (Court 1) this morning, Wednesday 30th October 2024 at 10.30am.”
