Man arrested €612,000 of cannabis seized at Dublin Airport

A man in his 30s has been arrested after €612,000 of cannabis seized at Dublin Airport.

Revenue officers seized 30.6 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of approximately €612,000 at Dublin Airport on Wednesday.

The cannabis was discovered concealed within vacuum-packed packages in the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Thailand.

The man (30’s) was arrested and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in Dublin.  He has since been charged and appeared before the CCJ Dublin this morning, Thursday 29th February 2024.

Investigations are ongoing.
