Sit on it!

The legendary Henry Winkler will be coming to Dublin this June with 50 years’ worth of stories to tell.

The man who defined the 70s with his iconic role as The Fonz on Happy Days, Winkler will be coming to the National Concert Hall on June 12th.

Titled “Henry Winkler – The Fonz & Beyond”, the show will see Winkler reflect on his time in the limelight from his Happy Days heyday, his personal life, and his later critical success on TV.

Winkler is doing the rounds for his autobiography, Being Henry, which discusses his struggles with dyslexia and how he overcame the odds to become one of TV’s most beloved figures.

Winkler has seen a late-career revival thanks to his role on the HBO dramedy Barry, scooping an Emmy for his efforts on the show in 2019.

The star is also known for his roles in the likes of Arrested Development, Parks and Recreation and a brief but memorable appearance in the original Scream film in 1996.

Dynamic, vivid, hilarious and emotional, Winkler will take the audience from the achingly vulnerable lows to the stratospheres of global acclaim (chiefly his appearance at the 1976 Logies), from the disheartening truth of an upbringing with undiagnosed dyslexia to the pressures of a role that takes on a life of its own – and the path forward once your wildest dream seems behind you.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, 22nd March at 10 am from www.nch.ie or by phoning (01) 417 0000.
