Bohs’ Dalymount move-out delayed

Bohemians’ planned move-out from Dalymount Park has been delayed until May 2027.

Following discussions between Dublin City Council and the Northside club, the temporary move-out (to facilitate stadium upgrade works) has been pushed until the end of May 2027.

The request came from the club, after it emerged that no suitable venue, which would allow them to play under floodlights, could be found in time.

In a statement, the club said “we want to absolutely minimise our time away from Dalymount Park and only depart when it is immediately required. ”

The club said that home men’s games move away from Friday nights as a result, as floodlights will be removed later this year (with the expectation of more weekend afternoon games).

The club said that the home game on October 23rd will be the final game under the Dalymount lights as they currently exist.

As a result of the delays, it is now expected that the first game in the revamped Dalymount Park won’t take place until the start of the 2029 season.

In addition, the club said that they will play in more than one venue for the remainder of the 2027 season, and for the entirety of the 2028 season.

“An information meeting for club members to discuss next season’s arrangements will be scheduled in the near future,” the club said.
