Dublin LGFA Chairperson Joe Keane has called upon all Dubs football fans to show their full support behind the capitals women’s senior team ahead of this Sunday’s TG4 All Ireland final clash with Meath at Croke Park.

“As the last Dublin senior team standing at this stage of the championship, I would really urge all football fans to travel in big numbers to Croke Park on Sunday and to give their full support to our girls in blue,” said the Clann Mhuire club man (pictured below)

“I’ve no doubt that fans will be treated to three excellent games of football and with tickets reasonably priced I would really encourage all Dublin clubs, our members and the general Dublin GAA community to row in behind the players and make the trip to Croke Park on Sunday.

“The support from the stands can really make the difference on the pitch.

“I know the players and their management team really appreciate the support they have received to date on their championship journey.

“Let’s bring it up a notch or two for the final  and turn Croke Park blue,” said Joe Keane.

Paul Casey and Derek Murray’s chargers are facing a formidable Meath side who are many pundits slight favourites to bring the Brendan Martin Cup back to the Royal County following their dethronement of reigning champions Kerry in the semi-final.

Vikki Wall, Emma Duggan, Marion Farrelly and Niamh Gallogly are all central figures for the Meath women as they aim to win their third All Ireland crown having tasted back-to-back success in 2021 and 2022.

Croke Park will host all three TG4 All Ireland women’s finals this coming Sunday, August 3.

Antrim take on Louth in the Junior final at 11.45, followed by Laois and Tyrone in the Intermediate final at 1.45pm with the senior final between Dublin and Meath throwing in at 4.15pm.
