O’Driscoll elected Chair of Dundrum Area Committee

Fine Gael Councillor Eoin O’Driscoll has been elected Chair of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council’s Dundrum Area Committee for the coming year.

The Committee represents communities across Dundrum, Stillorgan and Glencullen-Sandyford.

Cllr O’Driscoll said:

“I’m delighted to take on the role, and I want to use it to bring the Council closer to the people it serves.

“Too often, local people can feel that decisions are being made somewhere else, or that when they raise an issue it disappears into the system.

“I want the Area Committee to be a place where communities can bring their concerns, where they get heard and where we, as your elected representatives, work to get them addressed.

“That means listening to communities, making sure their priorities are properly represented in the Council, and pushing for answers and action where something needs to be done.

“I look forward to working with my fellow Councillors, of all parties and none, for the good of our local communities.”
