Uisce Éireann crews working to repair bursts in Rialto and surrounding areas

Dublin People 11 Sep 2025

Uisce Éireann crews are working to repair a number of bursts in the Rialto, South Circular Road and Inchicore areas caused by a significant pressure and distribution issue in Rialto.

Uisce Éireann operatives are regulating the pressure in order to carry out the required repairs and are working to minimise the impact on customers in those areas. Customers may experience low water pressure or disruptions to their water supply over the next 48 hours as repairs are carried out.

Keith Conmy of Uisce Éireann said that crews are working to restore normal supply as quickly as possible.

“We understand the inconvenience when an unplanned outage occurs, and our crews are working hard to ensure normal supply is restored as soon as possible. We thank customers for their understanding.”

Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to be restored to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
