Slight changes to DART timetables as Woodbrook station opens

Ireland’s newest train station, Woodbrook DART Station, is to open on Sunday 10^th August.

Woodbrook Station, which is located between Bray and Shankill, will serve the existing and new communities of Woodbrook and Shanganagh.  It will be the 147^th Station on the company’s network.

Customers are advised that there will be some minor time changes to some DART, Rosslare, Northern and Maynooth Commuter line services to accommodate Woodbrook and to improve service performance.

DART:

Woodbrook stop on all DART services operating to/from Bray/Greystones, timing changes throughout. Please refer to the Journey Planner for details.

Dublin to Rosslare Europort Line:

Monday to Friday:

• 05:35hrs Rosslare Europort to Dublin Connolly will depart earlier at 05:30hrs.
• 05:50hrs Gorey to Dublin Connolly will depart earlier at 05:45hrs.
• 07:15hrs Rosslare Europort to Dublin Connolly will depart earlier at 07:10hrs.
• 21:25hrs Wexford to Gorey is deferred to 21:35hrs and is extended to Dublin Connolly (combining with 22:15hrs Gorey to Dublin Connolly).

Saturday:

• 07:20hrs Rosslare Europort to Dublin Connolly will depart earlier at 07:15hrs.

Sunday:

• 14:10hrs Rosslare Europort to Dublin Connolly will depart earlier at 14:05hrs.
• 18:05hrs Rosslare Europort to Dublin Connolly will depart earlier at 18:00hrs.

Dublin to Maynooth Line:

Monday to Friday:

• 17:25hrs Docklands to M3 Parkway is deferred to 17:27 hrs.
• 21:49hrs Clonsilla to M3 Parkway is deferred to 21:52hrs.
• 22:49hrs Clonsilla to M3 Parkway is deferred to 22:52 hrs.
• 16:08hrs Maynooth to Dublin Connolly is deferred to 16.20 hrs.
• 16:40hrs M3 Parkway to Docklands no longer serves Coolmine, Castleknock, Navan Road Parkway, Ashtown.
• 18:10hrs M3 Parkway to Docklands no longer serves Coolmine, Castleknock, Navan Road Parkway, Ashtown.
• 18:40hrs M3 Parkway to Docklands no longer serves Coolmine, Castleknock, Navan Road Parkway, Ashtown.
• 22:10hrs M3 Parkway to Clonsilla is deferred to 22:15hrs
• 23:10 M3 Parkway – Clonsilla is deferred to 23:15hrs.

Dublin to Drogheda Line:

Monday to Friday:

• 06:45hrs Drogheda to Dublin Pearse departs earlier at 06:40hrs
• 07:36hrs Drogheda to Dublin Pearse will call additionally at Portmarnock.
• 08:24hrs Drogheda to Dublin Pearse departs earlier at 08:20hrs.
• 17:59hrs Drogheda to Dublin Connolly departs earlier at 17:57hrs

Sunday:

• 22:37hrs Dublin Connolly – Drogheda is deferred to 22.40 hrs.

Woodbrook Station will see:

• Up to 191 daily DART services every weekday
• A journey time of 40 minutes to city centre stations
• Two 174m long platforms with associated passenger shelters, seating, lighting, CCTV, customer information, bicycle parking and ticketing facilities.
• Access across the railway tracks will be via a new pedestrian bridge with ramped and stepped access.
• Station design allows for future plans for pedestrian and cycling access routes in the station vicinity.

Access to the station is via Woodbrook Avenue.  Substantive works began in November 2023, and the station is opening on schedule.

A spokesperson for Iarnród Éireann said: “We look forward to welcoming a new community to our services, with Woodbrook serving both existing and new developments.  This will ensure people living in the catchment area have fast, frequent and sustainable travel options available, as the community grows and develops.  We also advise customers on DART and Rosslare, Drogheda and Maynooth / M3 Parkway lines that there are some minor time changes on a number of services, both to cater for Woodbrook Station, and to improve service performance.”
