Doolan welcomes promise of 418 social homes for Ballyfermot

Sinn Féin councillor Daithí Doolan has welcomed the news that Ballyfermot will receive 418 apartments.

The apartments will be delivered as part of an 800-apartment development unit at Stonemount Park on the De Le Salle site on Ballyfermot Road.

The apartments will be available to those on Dublin City Council’s housing list.

1, 2 and 3-bed room apartments will made available.

Doolan, who represents Ballyfermot-Drimnagh on Dublin City Council said “this is a hugely positive development for Ballyfermot.”

“The Iveagh Trust will manage the homes with a permanent office on site. Phase one which will total 128 apartments will be ready in March or April.

“The apartments will be allocated under the Choice Based Lettings process and will be up on line very shortly; if you are interested in being considered for one of these homes I would strongly encourage people to contact Dublin City Council or your local city councillor,” he said.
