Lahart welcomes government commitment to Tallaght

John Lahart, TD for Dublin South West, has welcomed the two significant school building projects for Tallaght announced by his colleague, Norma Foley TD, Minister for Education at St. Thomas’ Junior National School and St. Aidan’s Community School.

The St. Thomas’ Junior National School project includes the construction of a new 27-classroom building at Jobstown, featuring three classrooms for children with special educational needs and a GP room, all on the existing site.

St. Aidan’s Community School in Brookfield has received approval for refurbishment and modifications, which include the creation of two new classrooms and the reconfiguration of existing space to create a new ASD unit.

“This is a significant development for both St. Thomas’ and St. Aidan’s in Tallaght,” said the Fianna Fáil TD.

“These projects will enhance the already exceptional education and resources these schools provide to our community in Tallaght. I am delighted to see both projects progressing rapidly and look forward to their completion, which will bring much-needed facilities to our students and teachers.”
