Councillor calls for Clondalkin village to be lit up for Christmas 2023

Independent South Dublin County Councillor Francis Timmons is calling on fellow councillors and Clondalkin businesses to support his call for the village to be lit up during the 2023 Christmas season.

“I would like to see Clondalkin lit up for Christmas as it was years ago,” he says.

“I am calling out to local businesses to ask them to come on board to light up Clondalkin for Christmas 2023.

“The village always looked great at Christmas, anyone who would like to come on board to make it happen in time for Christmas 2023 please contact me.

“I have contacted SDCC to see what if any assistance is available from the council,’’ he says.

Timmons says that Christmas lights would help breathe new life into the village

“I feel lights would bring new life to our village at Christmas and bring a new pride to our area.

“We have a beautiful village and it should be lit up to show off its full beauty.

“I am interested in setting up a lights committee to ensure that December 2023 our village begins to be more lit up and is sharing the Christmas spirit’’
