Gardai appealing for witnesses following fatal car crash in Drimnagh
Gary Ibbotson 01 Nov 2021Gardaí at Sundrive Road are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Drimnagh, Dublin 12 on Sunday, 31st October 2021.
At approximately 1.45am, Gardaí and Emergency Services were alerted to a collision involving a pedestrian and car at Davitt Road.
The pedestrian, a woman understood to be in her 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene at short time later.
Her body has since been removed to Dublin City Morgue, Whitehall where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
The scene has been examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has since reopened.
“Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this collision to come forward,” a spokesperson has said.
“They are particularly appealing to anyone with camera footage (including dashcam) from the Davitt Road area between 1am and 1.45am to contact them.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sundrive Road Garda Station 01 666 6600 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.”
