BREAKING: Tragedy unfolds on the Southside as bodies of a woman and two children are found

Gardaí are currently at the scene of an incident at a residential property in South Dublin where the bodies of two children and an adult have been discovered.

Gardai say they have no further information at this time.

It is understood that gardaí were called to a house in the Llewellyn estate in Ballinteer this morning after neighbours became concerned.

According to RTE.ie, they forced their way into the house and found the bodies of a woman – believed to be a mother – and two children, a boy and a girl aged between six and 11.

The scene has been preserved and the State Pathologist has been alerted.

Deputy Josepha Madigan tweeted: ‘This is an horrific tragedy for this family and the whole community in Ballinteer. My heart goes out to the relatives and friends of the deceased. Gardaí are investigating now and we must let them do their work’.
