Hollywood heavyweight Michael Fassbender took time out from his busy schedule to speak to students at the Gaiety School of Acting.

The star, who is busy promoting his latest film, ‘Calm With Horses’, which he executive produced, met with students attending the two-year full-time actor training programme.

Michael Fassbender is best-known for his acting work in ‘X-Men: First Class’, ‘Steve Jobs’, ‘Inglorious Basterds’ and ‘Hunger’.

Also present were agent and producer Conor McCaughan, from Troika Talent, and screenwriter Joe Murtagh, both of whom were also in Dublin for the premiere of their film.

‘Calm With Horses’ opens in cinemas nationwide on March 13. Set in the West of Ireland, it stars a number of Gaiety School of Acting graduates, including Ned Dennehy, David Wilmot, Simone Kirby and Toni O’Rourke.

Michael Fassbender, a former Gaiety School of Acting student himself, was delighted to impart his knowledge and expertise, emphasising the importance of self-belief and hard work.

You could be Ireland’s next Hollywood star by signing up to one of the Gaiety School of Acting’s ‘Try for Free’ classes. Beginning in April, classes last an hour and are absolutely free of charge.
