LEOPARDSTOWN came alive on the first weekend of February as a crowd of 14,204 descended on the Southside race course for the first day of the Dublin Racing Festival.

Wonder-mare Honeysuckle produced the performance of her career to take the PCI Irish Champion Hurdle on an afternoon her rider Rachael Blackmore described as "magic".

Dublin Racing Festival came to a rapturous close on the Sunday with Delta Work taking the Grade 1 Paddy Power Gold Cup to complete a treble for Gordon Elliott.

Leopardstown CEO, Tim Husbands, said: "It has been an incredible weekend. The racing was extremely competitive and top quality which created a fantastic atmosphere. I would like to thank all the trainers, owners and our partners for contributing to this.

“The support of everyone is key to success and this weekend has reinforced the importance of Dublin Racing Festival for the industry and racegoers alike."

Our photographer Darren Kinsella was there to capture some of the action.
